NEW DESIGN OF FILTRON FUEL FILTERS IN LPG FEED SYSTEMS.
In the time of increasing fuel prices, using propane-butane mixture as an alternative source of combustion engine feed has become very popular. Small, replaceable cartridges, filtering gas mixture are applied in such installations.
In older types of installations, replaceable cartridges were placed in special casings in front of evaporators. Such a sollution prevented the occurence of high temperatures on the cartridge surface.
In gas fueled systems with multi-point injection, common feeder line and individual injector for each cylinder, filter cartridge is used, mounted in a casing being an integral part of the reducer – evaporator system.
The evaporator is heated with water from the cooling system. Due to the occurring high temperature in the evaporator during engine work, the systems of this type require using filter cartridges with high resistance properties.
Wanting to meet the requirements of the market, WIX-FILTRON company developed an innovative construction of replaceable filter cartridges without glue mass application.
New replaceable filtering cartridges for LPG installations
The traditional method of joining the filter medium with bottoms is fitting using glue mass. The temperature difference, glue thickness and bottom difference, as well as long exploitation of replaceable filtering cartridge may cause separation of the bottom from the filtering medium.
In order to eliminate this risk, the method is, joining the medium with bottom without glue mass. The filter medium is pressed directly into the cartridge bottom.
The new design and fitting technology of these cartridges is much more resistant to temperature fatigue, provides complete leak proof in the joint of the filter medium and the bottom. It also gives dimension stability of the cartridge during the whole exploitation period.
This solution is completely free from metal elements and the filter cartridge is considered as ECO filter which are easier in utilization.
Such cartridges are resistant both to low and very high temperatures and therefore there is no possibility of destroying or deformation of the cartridge in the casing. They also have a very high filtering efficiency through the whole exploitation period.

The traditional solution with application of glue brings a risk of uneven distribution of glue and a possibility of occurring glue heads in the filter medium.
